From Manual to Automated: The Path to Comprehensive Digitalization

Initial Situation
Consimo, a leading company in the compensation fund and insurance sector with around 130 employees in Switzerland, faced the challenge of digitizing its business processes. The focus was not only on IT infrastructure but also on a urgently needed modernization of HR and expense processes. Manual processes, Excel spreadsheets, and isolated solutions needed to be replaced by an integrated, comprehensive package to increase efficiency and meet the demands of a modern work environment.
Solution and Project Approach
In the search for the optimal solution, Consimo launched a tender and selected the tailored "HR for SMEs" offering from HR Campus, which also includes the expense solution Edi.
The project was carried out in two phases: Phase 1: Implementation of Personio for all HR processes (such as master data and document management) combined with SwissSalary for Swiss-specific payroll. Phase 2: Implementation of Edi to automate the entire expense management process within the company.
Results
The effects were visible quickly: Consimo recorded significant improvements immediately after the completion of the first project phase. With Personio, HR processes previously based on Excel sheets were replaced by automated workflows. Thanks to Edi, expense processes are now fully digital. Media breaks have been eliminated, and manual intermediate steps are no longer necessary.
The project significantly reduced administrative effort while simultaneously increasing efficiency and the satisfaction of the involved teams.
